Covering Damien Hirst to children’s seaside creations, the collection is vibrant and versatile.
Lilly + Sid use a mixture of British heritage, vintage outfits and fresh design ideas to motivate their design musings, and this latest collection appears to be their strongest yet. The bold primary brights featured particularly grabbed StyleNest’s attention, with a functional and cool focus on offering unisex outfits. Other favourites of ours include the reversible dresses, polka dot cardi and anchor print rompers.
Practical as well as pretty, the range encompasses clever weatherproofing features. Sun-safe swimsuits provide UPV50+ protection, while sweat hoodies and summer knitwear are your failsafe for less fair-weather days. Their multi-wear options also include roll up legs, layering pieces and the smartly designed 8-ways-to-wear dungaree set. These are perfect for parents with children prone to long days out on a sometimes chilly beach, or playing in the back garden way past bedtime.
The Lilly + Sid baby collection covers 0-24 months, with rompers, shorts sets, leggings, joggers, dresses and playsuits amongst the treasure trove of tiny goodies. Animal characters such as Nelson Duck, Ladybird Flo are found throughout the range, nestled beside their newest addition, Bobbie Donkey. For older children, the clothes range from ages 2-8, featuring trend-led fully co-ordinating separates, as well as shorts, tees and mixed fabric dresses. Top of the accessories pick has to be the snazzy shark socks.
The brand’s mission is for us to move away from throwaway garments, instead encouraging the new generation to embrace modern classics that will last a lifetime. In addition, many products are made in the UK, reducing air miles and supporting British manufacturing.
Shortlisted in the Junior Design Awards for the third year running, and donating 5% of profits to Unicef; Lilly + Sid are the ethical, chic and unique ones to watch.
