Heal’s unveil Fabric Collection

heals launch fabricFrom cake stands to tropical flowers, bright colourful trees to fluffy clouds, the new Heal’s fabric collection is original, bold and beautiful.

For the first time since the 1970’s, Heal’s has launched a new fabric collection ready for spring 2014.

Heal’s has always been the perfect place to fulfill all of your homely needs, however the fabric department is now having a much needed reinvention after over 40 years.

The aim of the collection is to celebrate both colour and individuality and has drawn inspiration from every corner of the fashion world.

Heal’s prides itself on its history of discovering and nurturing creative talent. Back in the 1950s, the company was responsible for championing fabric designs by emerging designers including Zandra Rhodes.

This exclusive own-brand collection is no different to their traditional ways. Both established and up and coming designers have all created a pattern for the collection.

Zandra Rhodes’ bold fabric Top Brass 2 makes a return in the new collection after originally being designed for Heal’s in 1963. The fabric was created while she was studying at The Royal College of Art London and was inspired by David Hockney and representative of the Pop Art period.

Diana Bloomfield, Cressida Bell, Emily Patrick, Paul Vogel, and Hvass & Hannibal are just a few designers whose patterns will also be appearing so be sure to keep an eye out for them.

Pia Benham, Heal’s Head of Fabric & Design said: “We wanted to make a place that can inspire our customers and enable them to make their homes a beautiful place to live in.”

All fabrics are priced at £45 a metre and are available from the 1st of March.
