Tredwell’s

Tredwell'sStyleNest stopped by Marcus Wareing’s latest restaurant, Tredwell’s on London’s theatre district, Upper St Martin’s Lane to experience contemporary British cuisine.

With a throng of burger joints and fast food chains a stones throw from the restaurant, Tredwell’s offers a refreshing change from the now considered “norm”.

Offering modern London cooking (how it used to be), in a relaxed and informal setting, Tredwell’s offers a variety of dishes including gluten-free such as, Harissa glazed aubergine, peanuts, coriander and chilli, as well as a selection of vegan friendly items such as The virtuous chocolate brownie.

There is a large bar, perfect for post work cocktails and a few nibbles and the British racing green banquette seating sets the tone for a restaurant which is quintessentially British. Arranged over three floors, the spacious interiors and relaxed menu makes it the perfect spot for pre-theatre dining.

As we sink into our seat, our drink’s waiter soon appears before us offering us a Down The Apples and Pears cocktail featuring Belvedere Vodka, apple, pear, elderflower and thyme. Anything with elderflower in is a sure winner for StyleNest.

Tredwell’s marks the beginning of an exciting stage of growth. I am so proud of the team we have created, and with Chantelle at the helm I am able to allow their skills and experience to drive the project forward, making a mark on the London dining scene. The future of our company is down to the team to create something for their future growth too.” – Marcus Wareing

To start, StyleNest sampled the Taste of Tredwell’s featuring pork sliders with chorizo jam and sticky glazed chicken wings followed by a guilt-free (no batter) “posh” fish and chip dish.

For dessert we sampled the Coconut mousse, pineapple, mint, lime as well as the Salted caramel & praline chocolate tart for a refreshing way to finish.

Offering modern London cuisine, Tredwell’s is the perfect spot for all day dining in the city.

Tredwell’s is open daily from 12pm until late, with a late night licence (with food) until 12am Wednesday – Saturday.
