Veuve Clicquot launch competiton to re-design their iconic gift box

Veuve ClicquotCan Madame Clicquot’s iconic Mailbox be re-invented? As of 1 October Veuve Clicquot launched ‘The Re-Creation Awards’, an International competition to engage young designers and members of the public to create the most imaginative design for next year’s Clicquot Mailbox – the iconic gift box inspired by Madame Clicquot.

The Re-Creation Awards will be hosted in ten countries and be judged by the public alongside a panel of industry experts including internationally renowned designer, Tom Dixon OBE and Central St Martins Professor, Nicholas Rhodes. The two finalists from each country will then be flown to the sensational Hôtel du Marc, Veuve Clicquot’s design inspired hotel in Reims, France, for the International Final.

Launched over 240 years ago, the Veuve Clicquot vineyard is located in Reims, France and covers 382 hectares.

The winner will see their design become the next limited edition Mailbox for 2015, distributed worldwide, and revealed at Milan Design Week. The designer will also be featured in Wallpaper* Magazine and win €10,000.
