The Scandi Bird winter terrace at Bluebird

Paul Winch-Furness / PhotographerScandinavia has come to Chelsea in the form of Bluebird’s indoor Winter pop up; Scandi-Bird. Serving Scandinavian favourites like Swedish meatballs, gravadlax and risgrynsgrot (please don’t ask us to pronounce that), this Nordic-inspired Christmas haven in the heart of SW3 is now open to enjoy until Christmas Eve.

Relax and unwind after some Christmas shopping and cosy up between reindeer skins and Christmas trees with a nice hot ‘Glögg’ at this Scandinacian inspired Winter terrace pop up. Christmas trees and twinkling lights adorn the courtyard with reindeer skins and blankets available to keep you warm. A glamorous focal bar offers a selection of Belvedere cocktails such as Vinter Sval (Belvedere vodka, lime, mint, strawberry puree, sugar, rose liqueur and elderflower cordial) and Min Alkskling (Belvedere, Chambord, hot chocolate and raspberry puree) as well as the traditional Scandinavian Mulled Wine ‘Glögg’.

To accompany the cocktails, Head Chef of The Café Robert Izdebski has created a Scandi-inspired snack menu full of clean flavours and interesting textures. Sample dishes include Gravadlax with rye bread and dill sauce; Meatballs with cream and cranberry sauce; and the Scandi-dog, served with crispy onions and house relish. Moreish sweet snacks will include Risgrynsgröt (rice pudding) with cinnamon and butter and Swedish pancakes served with berry compote and crème fraiche.

Escape the crowds on the bustling King’s Road and pop in at this Winter pop up, or indulge during their Fondue Fridays (share a fondue for two for £25, every Friday throughout December).
