Q is popped up on the roof of Selfridges this summer, offering hungry shoppers the chance to dine alfresco on top of one of London’s most prestigious stores.

Part of a new campaign at Selfridges which will offer annual rooftop experiences, the new On the Roof with will be kickstarted on May 22 with restaurateur, Des McDonald launching the season with On the Roof with Q.

Hungry Londoner’s and tourists alike will get the chance to dine miles high in the clouds over an 18-week period, where the Selfridges rooftop will be transformed into a thriving garden. Inspired by grand Victorian greenhouses, the tables are tucked amongst a lush herbaceous setting, offering a panoramic skyline of London.

And for the days when the sun hasn’t remembered to put his hat on, a retractable roof has been installed to provide shelter from showers – a necessity for British weather.

From breakfast to dinner, On the Roof with Q will offer an all day menu to choose from including super-food salads as well as indulgent not to be missed desserts, including apple and custard tart and chocalate caramel torte.
