Frankly I don’t need an excuse to celebrate chocolate in all its forms but if you’re going to give me one, then I’ll happily oblige and as it’s Chocolate week from the 14th – 20th October then it is practically the law to indulge in all things Chocolate.
If, like me you like to eat or drink it, then, may I suggest you head to The Bentley for an utterly scrumptious chocolate themed high tea. This is not for those on low calorie diet, or if you are, you’ll need to take one for the team as this truly divine.
For £25 a head I think we can agree that this is a very reasonable price, given the deliciousness that followed; sandwiches filled with coronation chicken, cream cheese and cucumber to start, with chocolate brownies, chocolate eclairs, chocolate mousse and chocolate tarts next and last but by no means least, chocolate and buttermilk scones with clotted cream and jam with a marshmallow filled hot chocolate to finish. I can safely say I got my chocolate fill. I even, dear readers, took away a doggie bag with the scones I couldn’t manage.
The Courthouse Hotel in Shoreditch is also offering a chocolate high tea. However, if this sounds too indulgent why not try instead The Sanook Spa at The Courthouse, Soho which is offering a 30 minute cocoa body scrub with either a fragranced massage or a chocolate facial…after all, chocolate is full of anti oxidants.
