There’s much more at work than 90s nostalgia in my love for the Yogi footwear range, just as there is solely coincidence name wise for my crashingly boring (but personally fulfilling) daily yoga practice. 

That said, the halcyon days for those of my vintage are an undoubted pull, as are memories of the ubiquity of the original Duffer of St George, and Yogi was born to complement that effortlessly iconic style which still resonates now. 

Simple nostalgia does not a Covetable item make, though, and the Rudy is certainly one of those. Updating the classic lines of the oxblood penny loafer could be an exercise in futility, but the Rudy succeeds in re-imagining the original silhouette wonderfully.
