Uniqlo UU Family CollectionMarch 16 sees the launch of high street favourite, Uniqlo’s first childrenswear line and collaboration with designer Jun Takahashi.

Uniqlo’s design project with acclaimed designer Jun Takahashi and his cult-hit Undercover fashion label will make its retail debut on Friday 16th March.

Uniqlo’s first collection will focus on a family theme, with a full line-up of apparel for women, men, and, for the first time, Uniqlo UK will also be offering kidswear to the British market.

As the chief designer behind Undercover’s unique, street-inspired fashions, Takahashi has teamed up with Uniqlo to put his distinctively edgy yet upscale touch on the brand’s high-quality, basic clothing. The full lineup covers a broad range of clothing needs, from comfortable loungewear to the perfect garments for a day out. The men’s line matches gentle colours with darker tones, while UUU’s offerings for women are based upon an exciting palette of colours and patterns drawn from Takahashi’s groundbreaking label.

The collection nods toward a relaxed sports luxe style, highlighted with fine cotton, soft jerseys, and neo leather fabrications. Fun playful prints have been incorporated into the children’s and women’s designs, allowing for families to complement each others looks.

Takahashi designed the children’s and babies’ lines with his wife, Rico. As the parents of two children, the couple lavished attention on the designs for children and babies to produce a playful combination of vibrant colours, unique prints and fine details, pushing this collection far beyond the conventional realm of children’s clothing.

The collection will be available in UNIQLO 311 Oxford St, 84 Regent St, and online at Uniqlo.com. The kidswear collection will be available from new born sizes through to age 12 (150cm), and prices start from £7.90 to £59.90. Men’s and women’s prices start at £19.90 to £79.90.
