Classic plimsoll brand, Superga get a luxury makeover with a designer collaboration with The Row

Plimsolls are a must in any women’s wardrobe – school run, weekly food shop or weekend shoe of choice – they’re an absolute essential. From late March, Harvey Nichols’ Knightsbridge store will exclusively be stocking Italian trainer brand, Superga’s designer collaboration with The Row – taking the humble sport’s shoe in to luxe territory.

Brainchild of A-listers and fashion icons The Olsen Twins, The Row’s collection mixes clean, structured tailoring with soft, casual jersey in wearable colour palettes. This is reflected in the exclusive Superga collection, which showcases embellishments featured in The Row’s mainline SS12 handbag collection. Acting as Creative Directors for Superga’s 100 year old brand, the The Olsen’s update features the classic plimsolls in luxury grey, navy and black cashmere.

The Row for Sugerga Classic 2750s don’t come cheap though. Priced at £250 and created in luxury cashmere, these plimsolls should probably be best saved for occasional shopping trips and school runs.

 The Row for Superga will be available at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge store from late March 2012.
