British shoe designer, Sophia Webster launches a competition in aid of the Fight For Every Mother campaign, in a bid to promote safer pregnancy and complications during childbirth across Africa.
We thought there was only one Sophia Webster, but it turns out there’s two. Brit shoe designer of the moment Sophia Webster has teamed up with pilot and obstetrician Dr. Sophia Webster for an unusually charity collaboration.
The Fight For Every Mother campaign seeks to raise much-needed funds and awareness to make pregnancy and childbirth safer for women throughout Africa. Dr. Sophia Webster is championing the initiative by piloting a small aircraft from country to country across Africa. Stopping off at medical and midwifery facilities across the continent, Dr. Webster will donate life saving equipment and help to educate staff with practical skills.
Showing her own support, shoe designer Sophia Webster will be donating £25 from each pair of shoes sold on her online store and at her Burlington Arcade pop-up shop for the next month.
Webster fans could be in with a chance of winning a pair of shoes too, as the designer has promised to pick one winner from all who donate to Dr. Webster’s Fight For Every Mother campaign through her. That winner will become a proud owner of Sophia’s coveted ‘MILA’ heels, plus a one of a kind signed sketch by the designer herself.
Sadly African women face many more health challenges and childbirth complications than European women do. This campaign works towards putting an end to that. So as the two Sophia’s say, “put your best foot forward” and show your support.

Please include your full name, address, shoe size and contact number. Don’t forget to put COMPETITION as the subject line. They will reply within 24 hours to let you know you have been successfully entered. The competition will end at midnight on the 20th November. Donations must be a minimum of £3 (or your currency equivalent) in order to be entered into the prize draw. The winner will be announced on the 22nd November.
