British designer Richard Nicoll has joined forces with high street giant Topshop for one of the most anticipated capsule collections of 2012. Partnering for the sixth time, the latest Richard Nicholl for Topshop collection has taken an entirely different direction, this season focusing on bridal wear.

Launching in Topshop stores and online from late June, Richard Nicoll’s aptly named Tie the Knot collection is bridal style with a difference. Forget 80s meringues, forget imitations of that MCQueen dress and instead indulge in elegant, simple lines, 60s chiffon shifts and unexpected candy pink lace.

With a selection of long and short hemlines, structured bodices as well as loose oversized shapes, this is a collection made for the fashionably brave bride. But with nods to 90s grunge, juxtaposed with beautiful lace, the seven dress strong collection would be just at home in the wardrobe of women not planning on walking down the aisle this summer. Or, say goodbye to embarrassing matchy-matchy bridesmaids dresses and choose Nicoll’s effortlessly cool collection instead.

Standouts of the collection are the simple White Slip Dress priced at £170 – an oversized 60s shift in delicate off-white lace that would be perfect for a summer garden party paired with wedges and a statement necklace. Or for a more elegant affair, Nicoll’s Long Pink Dress priced at £350 will ensure you’re a blushing bride in subtle pink.

Priced from £75 to £350 the Richard Nicoll for Topshop collection is a thrifty way to get your hands on a piece of one of Britain’s hottest designers. Nicoll’s past Topshop collaborations have sold out nationwide, so ensure you’re at the front of the queue or online to start shopping later this month. This is one high street designer collection you’ll be saying ‘yes’ to.

The Richard Nicoll for Topshop Tie the Knot collection is available in store and online from late June 2012.
