Liberty’s Need-to-Know Collaborations

Vans x Liberty £55The iconic Liberty print will be splashed across several collections this season. And each is covetable as the last…

It all started with Nike and their instant sell-out collaboration. And then it was the turn of Barbour, Levi’s and APC with their equally as collectable collections. In fact so much demand was received that Liberty is now offering-up a plethora of designer unions to make for a floral-laden and quintessentially British-looking autumn.

The first hook-up of the season is Vans which arrives in stores and online on 17 November. Now in their fourth season with the national landmark, Autumn/Winter ‘14 brings us five iconic Vans silhouettes decorated with prints and patterns from Liberty’s extensive fabric archive.

Unisex styles are on offer as are women’s specific varieties which include small geometric Liberty motifs composed of stylized tress, creating the illusion of an endless forest. Pretty nice hey? In case that doesn’t take your fancy, or leaves you wanting more – and at just £55 a pair, we don’t blame you – there’s also the classic Vans slip-on which this time around has been decorated in a hand-drawn celestial pattern of constellations creating a conversational starry night. Pretty amazing up-close too.

But that’s not it. There’s also autumn essential wellington boots thanks to the Liberty x Aigle collaboration. Hand-crafted in France using natural rubber the Aigle wellies feature jersey linings and a cushioned insole. Covered in a beautiful Liberty print, Aigle’s signature Miss Juliette boots are available in three pretty styles; the traditional full-length wellington, the mid- calf style and also the ankle boot. Practical never looked so desirable…

So whether you fancy a starry-night printed trainer or a decorative floral waterproof boot, Liberty has it covered this season – quite literally.
