Whilst rumours of an Indian Summer circulate, fashion has already evolved and is in full-on winter mode. And with its fast pace, it brings a host of visually-arresting new campaigns to feast our eyes – and wallets – on.
A highlight of which is Kurt Geiger’s ‘Red is the New Black’ imagery. Starring one of our all-time favourite models, Karen Elson, it was always going to be love at first sight.
Set against a fairytale-like English forest, Karen’s flame red hair and alabaster skin mean she’s the perfect match for the dreamy autumnal setting.
But Karen aside, let’s get down to the business of what’s in-store from Kurt Geiger’s new collection. As covetable as ever, Autumn Winter sees the accessories label take a strong stance on solid prime colours, and brings with it new shapes and excitingly exotic fabrics.
New shapes come in the form of a stand-out ‘London’ Doctor bag which we envisage adding a bold splash of colour against a wool coat on the commute, while the new mini lock bag is screaming to be worn with a sparkly cocktail dress come party season.
In addition to the scarlet beauties, crimson and ox blood set a darker mood and inspire a new collection of the Saffiano leather bags fusing function with fantasy in the form of a fabulous new red python finish – seeing really is believing with this one.
And then finally, scarlet slippers and signature ‘Britton’ stilettos covered in sequins, velvet bows and embellished stars make a starring role that Red Ridinghood would be proud of…
