British fashion icon Alexa Chung returns as the face of Maje clothing for their Spring Summer ’13 Campaign.
TV presenter, British Fashion Council ambassador and all round style icon Alexa Chung has returned as the face of Parisian womenswear label, Maje this season.
Following on from the stunning black and white 60s inspired AW12 campaign, the French fashion brand’s Spring Summer ’13 campaign is a brighter, more youthful Pop Art inspired affair, but just as beautiful nonetheless.
Shot by acclaimed photographer Craig McDean, who has previously shot campaigns for the likes of YSL and Christian Dior, the shoot features feline-featured Alexa nonchalantly spread over Pop Art painted giant cushions, dressed in Maje’s signature Parisian style. The campaign draws likeness to that of a Warhol style pin up girl and McDean has referenced The Factory as a source of inspiration.
Alexa, herself a fan of the brand, looks stylishly at ease in the shoot styled in a series of shirt dresses, tomboy tees and boyish shorts.
Standout pieces of the SS13 collection include a bold monochrome print on skinny jeans, tees and skirts and colour pop masculine coats – the perfect coverups to take you from winter into spring.
To coincide with the new collection Maje will be running a Facebook campaign to find three stylish ladies who will get the opportunity to be styled by Alexa in Maje’s SS13 collection and feature in their very own fashion shoot. The results of the campaign, titled Majed By will be revealed at Paris Fashion Week in February 2013.
No stranger to a fashion collaboration, Alexa has previously featured in global campaigns for Pepe Jeans, Vero Moda and plimsoll brand, Superga. After two successful campaigns for Maje under her belt, it seems like Alexa’s partnership with the brand is a lasting one.
