The spring season is almost upon us, with summer only around the corner. Whether you’re hoping to update your wardrobe with the latest men’s streetwear styles, or you’re looking for something a little more refined, you’re bound to find something you like in the latest trends that have been spotted ahead of SS19.

It’s the perfect time to invest in new styles ready for the change in weather, regardless of your knowledge of the newest catwalk designs. Here is a brief guide to some of the must-have streetwear styles that you can incorporate into your wardrobe this season.

Tailoring

This season, tailoring has made a big comeback, with suits being a prevalent style across many different designers’ collections. Keep it traditional, or opt for a street-savvy design.

Streetwear tailoring is the perfect combination of luxe and street, a massive trend that is dominating retailers across luxury and high street markets. Look for oversized suits for a cool edge, or consider something a bit different like an overshirt for a casual take on the tailored trend.

Denim

If spring was a fabric, it would be denim. Offering the perfect balance of comfort, warmth and style, denim is a must for the upcoming season. Update your jeans collection with traditional blue denim and consider added detail like rips and distressed panels.

Don’t forget to explore other denim styles; denim jackets and shirts in particular a seasonal way to update your wardrobe.

Colour trends

The catwalks for men’s SS19 fashion showcased a multitude of different styles, including colour preferences. Bright shades are still in, as well as neon, but look for more wearable colours too.

Across both men and women’s trends, there is a certain shade having its time in the spotlight. Sage green has begun to appear frequently, offering an easy-to-wear colour that is easy to incorporate into your wardrobe.

Look for a simple sage t-shirt, or take it up a notch with a sage overshirt or full tracksuit to look the part this season.

Tie-dye

Nearly every season, a retro style makes a comeback and becomes relevant again. For SS19, this style is tie-dye; a pattern that was popular throughout the 70s, 80s and even 90s. Now it’s back, with the same psychedelic print we’re all familiar with. Look for on-trend shades including previously mentioned neon, as well as seasonal colours like pastels for a different twist on the usual. Of course, if your personal style isn’t quite bold enough for a vibrant tie-dye print, look for a dip-dye or ombre effect. This works across a number of streetwear styles including sweaters and even shirts.
