- Prime your eyes
Before you start applying eyeshadow, you need to prep your eyelids with an eye primer. This will act as a base and hold the eyeshadow for long. If you don’t have an eye primer, you can use a concealer. Top that with some translucent powder and your priming should be done.
- Apply a nude base
The next step is to apply a nude base. Take a fluffy brush and apply a nude eyeshadow shade to match your skin tone. You need to blend it thoroughly and dust off the excess. This step helps your eyeshadow to pop and last longer. No matter, what eyeshadow shade you apply, don’t forget to apply a nude base underneath.
- Work on your crease
Now comes the important and that is enhancing your crease. You should pay more attention to this step as you are likely to make more mistakes here. Apply a medium brown-tones shade to your crease with a fluffy brush. After that apply some colour on your lower lash line and blend it out nicely. When contouring your eyes at the crease, always use a darker shade.
- Apply colour
In this step, you add whatever colour you desire. The colour needs to be applied to the outer corners of your eyes. Take a fluffy brush and gently extend it past your crease. This will help you create a smokey effect. Apply the same shade on your lower lash line as well. Blend everything out beautifully.
- Create a gradient
Now use the same nude shade you applied on your lids. Use it to blend out the edges of the coloured eyeshadow that you applied in the previous step. This is needed to create a softer look.
- Define your lower lash line
Use kohl to enhance your lower lash line. Make sure to apply it to your waterline. Once you are done, don’t forget to smudge it a bit to achieve that beautiful effect.
