With Paris finishing off the SS15 Fashion Week proceedings, StyleNest round up the best hair and beauty trends from this season’s catwalks. From colour to texture, across hair and beauty, we delve into the most daring and delicate of London Fashion Week looks.
Topshop Unique – Topshop Beauty
Paired back simplicity was the key for Topshop Unique, with makeup artists using Topshop Beauty Airbrush Primer and Concealer to create a youthful, glowing effect. Lips had a just-kissed pop of colour, while eyes were gently defined with nude tones. On-trend texture was created by blending both Topshop Beauty’s Lip Ombre and Lipstick.
Matthew Williamson – Benefit
Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury worked alongside Benefit Head Makeup and Trend Artist Lisa Potter-Dixon to create vibrant looks for the stunning Matthew Williamson show. Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! Liquid Foundation provided the radiant base, with lip colour and highlighter applied to accentuate cheeks. Hydra-Smooth Lip Colour in Fling Thing was used to smooth out eyelid creases and both They’re Real! Push-Up Liner and Mascara created a delicate flick finished with volumous lashes.
Meadham Kirchhoff – butter LONDON
Premium nail brand butter LONDON were hand for the Meadham Kirchhoff SS15 show. Inspiration for the look was an anti-establishment, rebellion feel, created using bright white, matte nails designed to complement colours in the collection. Two coats of butter LONDON Cotton Buds were applied for an eye-catching opaque effect before topping with one coat of butter LONDON Matte Finish.
HEMYCA – TIGI
Mirroring our technological world, Catwalk by TIGI European Session Director Maria Kovacs wanted a futuristic effect which moved organically with the metallics and textures used in the show. The overall look being Futuristic Lived-In Locks, a combination of Catwalk by TIGI Bodifying Spray and Catwalk by TIGI Session Series Work It Spray was used to create a dual texture of dry and wet.
Missoni – Paul Hanlon for Moroccanoil
The Missoni SS15 collection is full to the brim with femininity, floral print and embellishment. Paul Hanlon for Moroccanoil created a hair look to complement, via super sleek ponytails and elegant turban twists. Incorporating Missoni silk scarves, the effect was attained using Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse to create controlled strands. Finishing by securing with elastic, Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong gave the ponytails their luxe sheen.
JW Anderson – Nails inc
The JW Anderson show looked to French playful femininity, citing a modern interpretation of seaside frolics. Nails inc boosted short, rounded nails using their NailKale Superfood Base Coat and 45 Second Top Coat with Kensington Caviar. Finishing Nails called for the Vitamin E Cuticle Pen, an on-the-go applicator created to target hydration of the cuticles.
