Inhibitif – hair inhibiting technology

Advanced tube hair free intimite careWhen StyleNest heard about inhibitif, a range of creams and serums designed to inhibit hair growth so you need to wax and shave less often, we were skeptical but curious – if something can help us put off the dreaded bikini wax, it’s worth a try. So we got hold of a tube inhibitif’s Intimate Hydra Gel and put it to the test, all in the name of research and just in time for the summer holiday season.

Now we know it sounds like we might be adding yet another step to your pre-holiday routine here, as if shaving, fake-tanning and bikini shopping wasn’t enough, but bear with us, in the long-run this one is supposed to make beach beauty prep easier and take the pain, literally, out of your summer beauty routine.

Although we admit that trying the body cream, which requires applying twice a day for at least 8 weeks did seem like too big of a commitment for us, and probably a lot of work for those who shave, which is quick, easy and painless as far as hair removal goes, the thought of delaying a Brazilian definitely motivated us to commit to a daily application of the Intimate Hydra Gel.

We applied the day we went for our regular wax and have been applying religiously for the last 4 weeks, as inhibitif say that consistency is key, but you will see results after 2 weeks. At the time it was hard to say, hair regrowth for us (obviously everyone is different) was at the same stage it probably would’ve been without inhibitif. However now, at the 4-week stage, the result is as though the hair hasn’t grown any further. We have booked in for our usual monthly wax, but we haven’t had to rush down to the beauty salon quite as quickly as we normally do, and with the reduced hair growth, we’re not dreading it as much as we normally do either.

And since the summer isn’t over yet we will keep going it with after our next appointment, as despite reading conflicting reviews of the body product online, all we can say is this particular product, the Intimate Hydra Gel, well it worked for us! Whilst we might not stick to it during winter (thank god for all those layers), it’s definitely a new part of our summer beauty routine to see us through holidays and through to that to that next, now happily delayed, waxing appointment.

Inhibitif intimate Hydra Gel is priced at £15. For more information or if you are interested in finding out more about other products in the range head to www.inhibitif.com.
