Stop the press- Clarins have launched some incredible new makeup buys and within them, what I think is their best lipstick range yet.
Joli Rouge Lacquer (£22) is a high-shine lipstick which is as moisturising as a balm, so it glides onto even the driest of post-winter pouts, adding nourishing colour. Available in glorious existing Clarins colours Soft Berry, Grenadine, Joli Rouge, Plum, Nude Brick, Pink Cranberry, Spicy Chilli, you will also find their brand-new shade, Pop Pink. I’ve loved sampling this newbie, and now truly struggle to leave the house without it on. Whether you’re somebody who shies away from lipstick because of dry lips or just aren’t sure about shades; I can tell you, Joli Rough Lacquer is extremely wearable, easy to apply and offers an instant, intense glossy lacquer.
Onto Clarins’ latest Ombre Eyeshadows (£20 each), comprising Ombre Velvet: Matte Cream-Gel, Ombre Satin: Satin Cream-Gel and Ombre Sparkle: Sparkle Powder. These pots of perfection are very versatile, and you can wear colours alone or blend shades together. I love starting off with an Ombre Velvet White Shadow or Pink Paradise as a base and layering up, using Ombre Satin or Ombre Sparkle on top. Have fun with different textures and refresh your makeup bag with some seasonal newness.
The perfect eye makeup pairing, you can also add in a Waterproof Eye Pencil (£24) in Black, Chestnut, Blue Orchid, Fig, Forest or Smoked Wood. Recognising that classic black or brown isn’t right for everybody, Clarins are offering up an array of options. I’m loving Fig and Smoked Wood in particular at the mo, and each pencil provides a pop of intense blendable colour, that melts onto the eyeline area.
Finally, no look is complete without the right mascara and Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D is Clarins’ latest impressive addition. Choose between Perfect Black and Perfect Brown, depending on your preference. Boasting volume, length, curl and definition, the brush will grip your lashes to offer that expert effect. Plus, the inclusion of rose wax and panthenol means eyelashes are protected and reinforced with regular application.
