When we were told about the one-step haircare system hif, which stands for hair is fabric, StyleNest admit that we were skeptical. No separate shampoo and conditioner to use? This was reminding us of a certain ‘wash ‘n’ go’ 2-in-1 product. But hif’s fancy list of Hyaluronic Acid, Exotic Oils and Precious Rock extracts along with the promise of stronger, shinier and smoother hair with each and every wash convinced us to give it a try.
Built on their philosophy of ‘You wouldn’t put couture clothing in your washer. Is your hair less important?’, hif was developed to cleanse your hair gently. According to hif traditional shampoos, the kind you and I are probably using every day, slowly strip the hair and wash the it’s natural and nourishing oils away. But hif promises to be different, with the product’s cleansing particles designed to attach to and remove only dirt, leaving the hair alone but washing all of the impurities away.
But still, wouldn’t the absence of a creamy conditioner leave our hair dry? Well apparently not. Hif wasn’t the 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner we were expecting. First of all it looked and smelt great – this definitely isn’t a bottle of your boyfriend’s 2-in-1. And secondly, the texture was a strange but yet wonderful mix of a cleansing shampoo with thick and nourishing conditioning cream. And despite it’s thicker-than-shampoo consistency it still worked into the hair pretty easily. On hif’s advice we left it there for three minutes, to give the cleansing particles time to get to work, and then rinsed it out. And that’s it, we were done!
Our hair was left volumised, exactly as the bottle had promised, but also soft, conditioned, and smelling amazing. We were pleasantly surprised. And it was so quick! With it’s impressive results it’s great for everyday, but also perfect for holidays, the gym bag, and definitely for those mornings when you’d like an extra 20 minutes in bed!
