There have been lots of new launches and announcements as usual over the past week and some of the best are from relatively unknown brands who deserve a lot more attention…
Seascape Island Apothecary is a lovely aromatherapy brand that makes fantastic bath and body products. Their latest creation is an essential oil blend rollerball that has been created to invigorate and promote alertness – the Uplift Awake Oil (£10) is a pick-me-up blend of eucalyptus, lime and lavender oil and will be available later this month.
Huda Beauty is really popular amongst the beauty blogger and YouTuber community; but isn’t as well known in general in the UK. It’s available online from Cult Beauty, but you can also now buy it in person at Harrods from this week. Their newest product launches this week too – the Liquid Matte Lipstick (£18) has a comfortable and hydrating formula, and you can even combine shades to create your own unique colour. There are 16 shades that are a range of browns, pinks, reds and purples.
If you love skincare, you need to know about The Hero Project. They have just launched their Vit C-30 Ultra Brightening Serum (£39), which has been created for people in their 30s who want to tackle the first signs of aging. It contains a powerful dose of Vitamin C – with 30% ethylated Ascorbic acid – and will brighten the skin and help protect against further damage too.
It just isn’t acceptable to have a bath without a Lush product in it is it?! Well, this cult brand have just unveiled their limited edition Halloween products, which will be available to buy in stores and online from 23rd September. Highlights include the Monster’s Ball Bath Bomb (£4.25) – which has a citrus scent and contains Himalayan rock salt – and the Pumpkin Bath Bomb (£3.25) – which smells like a pumpkin pie, with vanilla and cinnamon scents.
Another major brand launch, Rimmel London have launched their new ScandalEyes Reloaded Mascara (£6.99 at Boots) has a bristle wand and is designed to give you bold and full lashes. It’s clump-proof and promises 24-hour smudge-proof, humidity-proof and sweat-proof wear. Every lash is lengthened, separated and plumped, and it’s available in Black and Extreme Black. It’s a shame this wasn’t out at the start of summer.
