The festive season is all about giving back and TOMS Shoes UK are doing just that with the launch of their unique GIVE shop this Friday 14th December for a limited period.
TOMS shoes are hosting the GIVE shop, an experiential event, which will be held at the Old Truman Brewery, where guests will be taken on a journey of giving and generosity. There will be craft workshops and live performances a-plenty, making this a truly special event which will bring back the true spirit of Christmas for its participants.
Footwear company TOMS was founded in 2006, by American Blake Mycoskie, who befriended children on his travels in Argentina and was horrified to discover they had no shoes to protect their feet. With this, he launched TOMS shoe company, which would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need.
Thus, in-keeping with their philanthropic ideology, TOMS have now devised the GIVE shop, promising an exciting array of events and workshops. The space at the Old Truman Brewery will have five areas designated for an array of unique elements.
GIVE Craft is a DIY craft area where visitors can create homemade Christmas cards, as well as adding a little something extra to their gift wrapping. GIVE Smiles will host a photo booth for you and the family to jump in for a festive snap to capture the moment. GIVE Knowledge is a space crafted entirely from recycled books and will include a reading lounge and chance for visitors to bring books to swap and donate. GIVE Creativity will play host to upcoming artists and musicians with live performances and creative workshops, whilst GIVE Market is a retail area dedicated to local craftsmen, where visitors can choose unique and socially responsible goods.
The TOMS GIVE shop is open from Friday 14th December to Sunday 16th December at The Old Truman Brewery, E1.
