A hundred years after its birth, the Dorchester Collection’s Hôtel Plaza Athénée celebrate its centenary year. Having held residence on avenue Montaigne since 1913.
To mark the Dorchester Collection’s Hôtel Plaza Athénée 100 year milestone, there will be a range of dining surprises and special packages and collaboration with the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées where The Rite of Spring was fist performed 100 years ago.
To commemorate a century after the birth, one hundred lime trees will be planted in the grounds of the Palace of Versailles and on 29 April 2013 100 balloons will be released from the hotel’s Cour Jardin alongside a special anniversary cake for guests to indulge. Loyal guests of the hotel will be presented with an exclusive loyalty card entitled Pass of the Century, which will offer guests unlimited VIP experiences throughout their visit. Guests can enjoy guaranteed tables at the hotels restaurants as well as upgraded stays. Loyal guests can also contribute to the hotel’s time capsule featuring enclosed details of the hotel’s heritage and history.
For food, special centenary dishes will be created and will be available at the hotel’s restaurants. Sample hot truffle and guinea fowl paté at Alain Ducasse or calf’s head with spicy tomato sauce and macaire potatores at Le Relais Plaza. For breakfast, the Galerie des Gobelins will be serving poached eggs cardinal or a melba with seasonal fruit created by Christopehe Michalak.

To welcome in the new season and mark this shared celebratory occasion, Hôtel Plaza Athénée have joined forces with Théâtre des Champs-Elysées where they will be presenting the original performance of Rite of Spring with three interpretations of Stravinsky’s ballet.
