Amilla Fushi brings Bodyism to Baa Atoll, Maldives

Post-PoolAerial02The luxury Maldives resort of Amilla Fushi in Baa Atoll has just announced an exclusive partnership with Bodyism, the healthy living revolution which has converted celebrities, models and royalty. This exclusive partnership follows the recent opening of Amilla Fushi’s new spa ‘village’, Javvu Spa.

From 10 March, guests at the resort will be able to experience Bodyism pioneer James Duigan’s empowering philosophy of “Clean and Lean”, complete with Bodyism personal training, classes and sessions as well as healthy eating options at the island’s renowned restaurants.

What is Bodyism?

Duigan made it his mission 10 years ago to help people transform their lives by realising their physical and mental potential. Having already built an impressive portfolio of clients which included A-list celebrities, Duigan used his knowledge to focus on his clients’ individual bodies, with the aim of improving their unique movement and posture. He hoped that this would allow them to enjoy injury-free movement and life for years to come – and the concept of Bodyism was born.

Duigan built upon his original concept after realising that his clients struggled to find the time and motivation to eat well. Together with his wife and business partner Christiane, they developed the Clean and Lean philosophy, which encourages people to nourish and take care of their bodies from the inside out through more mindful eating, as well as exercise and healthy lifestyle decisions.

The Easter Wellness Tree House Retreat

To celebrate this new offering, Duigan will inaugurate the partnership with Amilla Fushi by leading the Easter Wellness Tree House Retreat, an exciting programme celebrating the Bodyism philosophy. The retreat includes:

  • A personal wellness and fitness consultation upon arrival
  • All meals and minibar snacks from a specially designed – and healthy! – menu
  • A variety of spa treatments
  • Fitness and wellness classes

Bodyism and the Amilla Fushi Javvu Spa

The Javvu spa in the Maldives will offer signature personal training and classes to help guests transform their bodies and feel the best they can, every day. The Bodyism personal training programmes are unique in the way that they are based upon the belief that movement is medicine. The concept embraces a holistic approach to health, and incorporates a number of techniques focusing on alignment, posture, weight training, yoga and Pilates. What’s more, all programmes are tailored to the individual. Specialist classes such as The Clean and Lean Warrior, Bodyism Yoga and Bodyism Ballet use traditional principles and enhance them with the Bodyism philosophy.

The Javvu Spa will also offer Clean and Lean supplements for guests, and the Island Café by Clean and Lean will offer specially designed menu options. But forget about tasteless rabbit food – think Pad Thai or sautéed scallops. Harissa chicken and spinach jalfrezi. Being healthy just got a whole lot more delicious – and fun!

The Easter Wellness Tree House Retreat costs from £1,126pp per night.
