Palazzo Manfredi

Palazzo ManfediLocated opposite the Colosseum, StyleNest took a trip to the Palazzo Manfredi and indulged in some true Roman luxury.

If you, like StyleNest, have been a stranger to Rome for quite some time, then the Palazzo Manfredi hotel might not have been on your past radar. Located opposite the Colosseum with breath-taking views of the roman ruins reminiscent of a time fuelled with Gladiators and the echoes of battle, the Palazzo Manfredi could not be situated in a more historic spot.

16th century artwork adorns the interiors, whilst the contrasting contemporary style fuels together for an intimate oasis in the heart of Rome that you will want to return to time and time again.

In true Italian glory, the Palazzo Manfredi oozes timeless elegance as you walk through the corridors of the lobby and this is echoed throughout the 14 individually created rooms and 2 suites. Understated, rich opulent fabrics and gilded accents transport you back to a time of Roman glory. Complete with all the mod cons, including Nespresso machine and Sky television, the bedrooms are the perfect space to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Impeccable is the service – the front desk are a constant helping hand with recommending local eateries as well as securing queue jump passes for all the tourist attractions (essential in 28 degree heat). And it doesn’t stop there, the hotel’s turndown service never interrupted us whilst getting ready for dinner, instead waited for us to leave until they magically sprinkled chocolates on our pillows and replenished our bathroom with fresh towels.

For all food connoisseurs, the roof top restaurant offers a 360 degree experience where you can enjoy the breath-taking views of the Colloseum whilst dining on the restaurant’s Michelin star cuisine, headed up by award winning chef Guiseppe Di lorio.
