Celebrating Cirque du Soleil’s 20th anniversary with Amaluna at the Royal Albert Hall, you can now experience celebrity style with a little help from the Jumeriah Carlton Tower.
StyleNest arrived at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in the heart of Knightsbridge where we located the renowned The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant for our pre-Cirque snack.
Sinking into the plush banquette seating, The Rib Room Bar was filled with a range of people already in full swing of post-work and post-shopping cocktail hour.
The Rib Room’s menu is light and contemporary, offering traditional British cuisine carefully put together by Head chef Ian Rudge, set in a relaxed and stylish environment. The paired down Bar menu makes it ideal for a quick lunch or pre-theatre snack without compromising on portion sizes. Renowned for their roast rib of beef, StyleNest opted for the Roast Beef club taking the waiter’s recommendation alongside the Duck sandwich and portion of cauliflower cheese croquettes.
Every mouthful melted in the mouth, even more flavoursome than the one before. With no room to spare to our disappointment, we passed on dessert and opted for coffee instead. But the indulgence didn’t stop there, a tray of decadent truffles arrived – white chocolate and passionfruit along with liquid caramel and dark chocolate all dissolved in a single bite. The perfect finale to a beautiful dinner.
But the night had only just begun…we made our way to the front desk where we were swiftly escorted into a plush car which whisked us away to the Royal Albert Hall ahead of Amaluna.

Upon arriving, we were escorted up to a private Box where we could enjoy the 33rd production, Amaluna written and directed by Tony Award-winning Director Diana Paulus. A story of a young girl’s coming of age, Amaluna celebrates love whilst tributing the work and voice of women. It explores the emotional love journey between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor.
The Cirque du Soleil VIP Package is available between January and 6 March and offers guests a pre-show three course à la carte dinner with a glass of Champagne at Coda, The Royal Albert Hall’s fine dining restaurant and two VIP stall tickets to Amaluna. Following the show guests can enjoy an overnight stay for two people in one of Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s stunning Garden View Rooms with breakfast at The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant. Prices start from £765 inclusive of VAT for a Garden View Room and round trip transfers are included.
