Who is eligible? 

To save time before you apply for your Platinum Card, it’s best to make sure you can say yes to the following:

  • I am aged 18 or over
  • I have a current UK bank or building society account
  • I have a permanent UK home address
  • I have a household income of at least £40,000
  • I have no history of bad debt
  • And if self-employed, I have been working for more than one year
  • I understand that I will not be eligible for any Welcome Bonus award if I have held any American Express Charge Cards in the past 6 months.
