Whistles teams up with Frame to launch Sportswear Range

WhistlesXFrame“From Street to Studio” – If you’re forever searching for stylish sportswear that looks great both in the gym and out of it, you’re in luck! Premium fashion brand Whistles will be launching their very first sportswear range this June, in collaboration with London-based health and fitness studio, Frame.

The 13-piece capsule collection is the result of close collaboration between Whistles and Frame founders Pip Black and Joan Murphy, and is born from a mutual vision of fashion-forward sportswear that also fits into a busy woman’s everyday life.

Whistles is the go-to choice for the modern woman who favours pared back styles and clean lines – and this new activewear collection is no exception. Every piece in the range, from the grey melange sports bra top to the Joan jumpsuit, combines style with advanced athletic function, thanks to Pip and Joan’s 14 years of combined experience in activewear.

In fact, we can’t think of anyone better than fitness studio Frame to lend their hand to this collection. Launched in Shoreditch in 2009 and founded on the belief that getting fit shouldn’t be a chore, Frame has revolutionized the traditional gym workout with effective and fun pay-as-you-go classes spanning a range of activities, from dance to Pilates.

“When Pip and Joan approached us about doing a sportswear collaboration, we were so excited,” explains Jane Sheperdson, Chief Executive at Whistles. She’s also keen to emphasise the versatility of the collection: “The idea of creating a range that works from “street to studio” felt much more modern than a very pure yoga or dance collection.”

Gone are the days when garish or boring gym clothes were relegated to the bottom of your wardrobe – these stylish pieces are designed to complement and be worn with your day to day outfits. For example, the dance leotard becomes the perfect base layer for summer denim, while the jumpsuit is the ideal counterpart to a wedged sandal and statement jewellery.

Our highlights? StyleNest loves the one-shouldered “on the move” leotard, which would look just as good tucked into a high-waisted skirt at the bar as it would in the dance studio.

The Whistles and Frame From Street To Studio collection will be available from June in Whistles stores.
