Here she shares her Top 10 Tips for sticking to those 2017 goals come the New Year…

  1. Write down your resolutions month by month. Don’t aim to do them all in January as you’ll just find it too much. Start with one for January and another 11 to take you through the rest of the year, you’re more likely to stick with them.
  2. Get your best friend/group of friends to agree to support each other, whether it’s over a WhatsApp group or weekly coffee dates.
  3. If your resolutions are fitness/health based, there is nothing better than getting a new workout wardrobe that makes you feel amazing when you train! You don’t want leggings falling down, or bras that don’t hold you in.
  4. Find things that make you happy & surround yourself with them, at home and at work. The happier you are the more likely you are to stick to your resolutions. I love candles, wood & quotes around the house that make me smile.
  5. Cull the people that suck the life out of you, I call them vampires… they will drain your energy which you could be using for yourself.
  6. Take the pressure off yourself, just enjoy the challenges you’ve set & learn from any mistakes or setbacks.
  7. I love taking ‘progress’ photos, you can go back and look at them to see how your body has changed if you’re feeling like you’re not getting anywhere.
  8. My best friend Steph once asked me to write a letter to myself congratulating myself on what I’ve done and I look back at it whenever I feel like I’m struggling for motivation.
  9. Have a look at the accounts you follow on Instagram/social media… Do they actually motivate you or do they make you feel bad about yourself? Have a little New Year clean up and make sure you’re following people that make you feel GOOOOOOD.
  10. Last but not least, HAVE FUN! Smile, laugh and surround yourself with the happiest people you can. They will help you with your resolutions and encourage you to keep going.
