Fierce Heels Dance Brunch – The Health vs. Indulgence Dancing Experience

DancerDance music, unlimited bubbles, skyscraper views and your favourite dancing heels… all the components for a girl’s night on the town. But forget that conjured up image inn your mind, as Neon Fuel and D&D group’s restaurant Plateau have provided a new kind of girl’s day out – a dancing in heels and brunch experience, not to be missed.

This Autumn Plateau, located in Canary Wharf, has partnered with Neon Fuel dance company to hold monthly Fierce Heels dance brunches. And it is the perfect Saturday morning combination, the dance brunch provides a healthy dose of exercise to work up a sweat and for your reward, a delicious feast with flowing bubbles – the best way to detox and retox!

The event begins with a dance class performed on Plateau’s al fresco terrace with killer views of the surrounding city and is taught by the fabulous choreographer, dance teacher and owner of Neon Fuel Thalia Charalambous. After a quick warm up, Thalia teaches the intimate class of ladies a routine that would kick Beyonce out of the water. Lots of hair flicking, body waves and booty popping, all in heels, this class isn’t for the faint hearted. However, don’t let that scare you off, even those that claim they have a real lack of coordination will come out of the class with confidence and sass! And if you have a favourite chart hit, Thalia will happily get you all shaking your behinds to your chosen tune, forgive us if we fancied a little Justin Beiber!

The class is followed by a three course sumptuous brunch, served in Plateau’s gorgeous dining rooms, and is complimented by unlimited bubbles! After the workout you definitely deserve it. The menu consists of classical brunch plates such as Eggs Benedict alongside other indulgent and fascinating dishes such as Parma ham, charentais melon, coffee and maple dressing; green papaya, pomegranate and cucumber salad with chilli and lime; and Guinea fowl breast, grilled vegetables, thyme jus. And if you have any room, there are plenty of delicious sweet options including a delectable sounding fig crème brûlée.

And if you fancy some more Neon Fuel lessons, Thalia organises themed dances all across London and Europe including a 50 shades of Grey themed choreography – and we thought Justin Beiber moves were sexy! Neon Fuel also organises ‘Hip Trips for Healthy Hedonists’ – a holiday trip where members can dance and enjoy the nightlife whilst exploring a new city.

The Fierce Heels dance class has been designed to improve confidence, posture and dance techniques, and although heels are preferred, trainers are more than acceptable. Dancers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. The next class will be help on the 7 of November from 11am-12pm and the final class on the 5th of December. The classes will be priced at £65 with brunch and unlimited bubbles included so pop those sparkly heels on and treat yourself to a morning of health and indulgence!
