Iconic British brand, Paul Smith is due to launch a capsule cycling collection and pop up store exclusively at luxury department store Harrods. 

In case you hadn’t noticed The Olympics are hitting London later this year which means an abundance of sports inspired collaborations, capsule collections and events will be taking over the fashion industry in sporty fashion. As one of Britain’s frontrunners of fashion, Paul Smith has come up trumps with his soon to open cycling store pop up at Knightsbridge’s most famous store.

Launching on Monday 9 April, the space will be open for six months on Harrods’ Fifth Floor and showcase three of the designer’s world exclusives. If you’ve got a man in your life who’s mad about cycling, Paul Smith’s collaboration with leading cycling lifestyle brand Rapha will be right up his street. The capsule collection of Rapha + Paul Smith cycling jerseys (£149) draw inspiration from Paul’s personal enthusiasm for the sport. A keen cyclist since his teens, the collection of bold vivid sports tops draws reference from Paul’s time in Nottingham’s Beeston Cycling Club. Nostalgic and authentic the capsule collection features a quote and a picture of the designer’s race license in the back pocket of each jersey. A range of cycling holdalls (£269) have also been designed by the British designer, ideal for both male and female cyclist, the bags will add a hint of sporty sophistication to city riders.

For fans of Smith who are just as enthralled with the sport as the designer himself, the Harrods pop up space will also be offering a made-to-order bicycle service. Four frame designs have been designed by Paul and manufactured by the renowned British bicycle brand Brooks. Sure to be the most stylish bikes in town, they’d make the ultimate gift for those passionate about the sport and looking to get in the Olympic spirit.
