Spring has sprung! And you know what that means… it’s wedding season!

Some of us may have to attend a wedding or two this spring and summer, and you might feel that these seasons will be expensive. With outfits, travel costs, and wedding gifts, it can add up! And to top it all off, trying to find unique wedding gifts that are on budget and hold sentimental value can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. So to lighten your search, try out this wonderful DIY option that will accomplish that personal element you are looking for at an incredibly low cost.

DIY Photo Print on Canvas

A great photo can capture an unforgettable moment and can give a glimpse into a beautiful relationship. So when it comes to giving an extremely personal and unforgettable wedding present, going with a picture is never a bad bet. However, to make it more special than a matte picture in a frame, give them something that they will not only proudly hang on their walls, but that they will think of you and your wonderful effort that went into making it: a photo transferred to canvas.

These are found in many print shops and photography studios, but they are usually quite costly, some reaching around £75 – see here for the whole range. However, there is a cheap way to transfer a photo to canvas that will make this your new go-to present idea.

Many couples are now setting up wedding websites nowadays that include a cute “About Us” section. These are a fabulous idea that we’re seen more often, as family and friends can see the couple’s history in picture form before the ceremony. We like the wedding templates from www.1and1.co.uk, as they look beautiful, without being tacky. As for the couple’s wedding website itself, peruse through their pages and find the most eye-catching photo. Hint: bright photos work better than dark ones. If they don’t have a wedding website, you should be able to find something sweet and of good enough quality if you look through their photos on Facebook. Or, if all else fails, figure out a way to take one of the couple yourself.
