What was the inspiration behind launching A Style Album?

A Style Album is a real passion project for us both. We found we were constantly sharing Fashion finds and Style inspiration with each other and thought we should put it online and see if anyone else was interested. I think we’d do it anyway even if no one read it!

What is the ethos behind A Style Album?

A stylish online destination you can turn to for inspiration on Fashion, Beauty, Travel, Interiors or Places. It’s like our style diary, we cover whatever we’re into.

You work with the lovely Louise Redknapp, how did the relationship first come about?

I met Lou when I was just starting out as a Fashion Stylists. We just clicked, and now speak on the phone up to 5 times a day, much to our husbands annoyance.

Your background is in styling, can you give our readers some top tips on how to look red carpet ready in 5 minutes?

Good underwear, A dress you feel confident in, Killer heels you can walk in, confidence & a smile!

What first inspired you to get involved in the fashion industry?

I’ve always found it interesting how people express themselves through Fashion. I love helping people find their signature style.

What AW16 staples are on your wish list for next season?

A Blazè Milano blazer, Maria Tash earring, and a Preen dress.

Where are your top spots to eat/drink/shop around London?

Topshop Oxford Circus is still as exciting for me now as when I was 13. The personal shopping is a great service. Liberty for beauty & Interiors. I love Pizza Pilgrim in Carnaby Street for a quick pit stop between shops. If the sun’s shining you can’t beat the Ivy Chelsea Garden for a Rosé or two.

How would you describe your style?

Relaxed, Classic but with an edge.

A Style Album covers a range of topics from fashion & beauty to food & interiors. What is your favourite aspect about the site?

Fashion definitely, I find it very natural to talk about Fashion & Style and we’re never short of content. I do love the Travel too, we try and put into a Travel piece everything we would want to know if travelling somewhere for the first time- where to eat, sleep & shop & what to see & wear.

When you are not busy working, what do you like to do to unwind?

I have 3 kids and love watching them play sports. Good job as that’s what I do most weekends!

What top tips would you give our readers who want to become a stylist?

Assist as much as possible, keep up to date with the designers and their new collections, get to know PR’s, and use social media in a savvy way too, you can contact so many people through Instagram/Twitter who you would never normally have access too.

Can you clue our readers in on any exciting projects you are working on?

Our own label is something we’ve started talking about. We’re keen to launch a small capsule collection.

What is your ultimate wardrobe staple?

My leather jacket.

What 5 things would you take to a Desert Island?

My family, Laptop, Diet Coke, Dairy Milk & a Marysia swimsuit, i’d be in heaven!

Who is your style inspiration?

Emmanuel Alt.

What’s your motto?

I like Kate Moss’s ‘Never Complain Never Explain’ I should probably take more notice of that.
