Head to one of the world’s finest shopping streets this Christmas for the Quintessentially British Sloane Street Shopping event.

If the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street or the pushing and shoving at Westfield is getting too much for you this festive season, we’ve found a shopping event that could get you back in the seasonal spirit this December.

This Thursday 20 December, one of London’s most luxury shopping districts, Sloane Street, will play host to an evening of present buying, all wrapped up in quintessentially British elegance.

A wealth of Britain’s finest brands from the area have teamed up to make the event as spectacular as possible, and Sloane Street’s iconic estate, Cadogan will be putting on special services to make shopping as glamorous as possible.

Traditional British butlers will be lining the roads in their classic uniforms, between Basil and Pont Street, opening shopper’s car doors, guiding visitors into stores and providing information about each of Sloane Street’s luxury retailers.

The wind and the rain won’t be able to dampen shopper’s spirits, as the helpful butlers will be holding up umbrellas to and from shops.

Cadogan has also teamed up with HR Owen and Marylebone Hotel Group to provide a chauffer service for guests staying at the hotel group’s Berkeley Hotel. Guest will be picked up in style in a chauffer-driven Rolls Royce no less, and taken to Sloane Street for a day of Christmas shopping. The cars will return to collect them, shopping bags and all once they’re ready.

The Quintessentially British Sloane Street Shopping event is sure to be a hit with fashion fans, who will also be pleased to hear that iconic fashion illustrator David Downton has designed original imagery for the event. Downton has famously created illustrations of Erin O’Conner, Twiggy and regularly creates commissions for Vogue. This Christmas, the artist has been appointed by Cadogan to produce a beautiful image in his signature style, which encapsulates the festive luxury of the event.
