Disney on Ice presents Magical Ice Festival, a spectacular culmination of all our favourite Disney characters, including the debut of Frozen’s Anna and Elsa.
Touring the UK this spring, the show also features characters from The Little Mermaid, Tangled and Beauty and The Beast. A brand new take on the much loved Disney on Ice shows, Magical Ice Festival incorporates ice stories with Anna and Elsa making their first appearance. Joining Olaf the snowman and Sven the reindeer, hero of the hour Kristoff takes you on a mountain trek of love and friendship.
Producer Nicole Field says, “In our more than 30 years of producing Disney on Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like Frozen. The most exciting part of bringing characters like Anna and Elsa to the ice for the first time is knowing that they have a powerful and inspiring message that resonates with audiences as the sisters discover the true meaning of love”.
Put together by Feld Entertainment, the company have produced a choreographically charged journey, covering Disney characters from across the ages. Led by Minnie and Mickey Mouse, the audience is invited to explore the story, taking in amazing scenery and energetic performances. Comprising 180 costumes, 183 different props and over 350,000 yards of fabric to create the costumes, Magical Ice Festival is a must-visit for Disney fans.
As explained by Producer Juliette Feld, “By pulling together moments from classic Disney stories to the newest feature film sensation Frozen and combining them with elements of comedy and music, we developed a truly unique way to re-tell each fairytale”.
