One of the world’s best loved bunny’s, Miffy- has turned 60 this year.

Originally created in 1955 whilst on a rainy seaside holiday in North Holland, Dick Bruna kept his young son entertained by sketching a little bunny that kept hopping about the garden of his holiday house. Each evening he would make stories up about the bunny and soon Miffy was born.

Sixty years on and the loveable rabbit has featured in over 30 books and been translated into more than 40 languages. Now to mark the anniversary- iconic heritage manufacturer Steiff has launched a limited edition Miffy – which features moveable arms, head and legs. Crafted from pure white mohair, Steiff has captured the charm, innocence and loveable Miffy with her cute-as-a-button eyes and cross nose- as carefully hand-stitched as the originals were drawn.
