La Coqueta, who offer beautifully crafted Spanish style clothing have teamed up with the achingly cool interiors brand House of Hackney, who are known for their bold iconic prints (who doesn’t love that ‘Palmeral’ print?). The result is a unique and striking collection of limited edition pieces, including a gorgeous summer palm print dress and a fabulous Alice in Wonderland (off with her head) gingham smock.
House of Hackney Co-founder Frieda Gormley comments on the collection: ‘We love children to be dressed like children, which is exactly what La Coqueta does so beautifully. We are excited to collaborate on this range that juxtaposes traditional childrenswear with our inaugural collection of whimsical prints.’
In addition to the unmistakeable Palmeral and Wild Card prints, House of Hackney
have worked with the V&A Museum to create two striking new patterns, transformed from artworks by C.F.A. Voysey housed in the V&A’s collection.
Traditional hand-smocked dresses showcase Voysey’s whimsical Alice in Wonderland characters and botanical print, Voysey’s Garden, originally designed in the 1920s. The boy’s don’t miss out on any of the style action, with vibrant shirts in House of Hackney’s classic Palmeral and Wild Card prints.
And for the babies- cute baby bonnets in four alternative prints are lined with the Wild Card leopard print.
