Ideal for sunny summer days, the latest addition to the iCandy family is their new Raspberry stroller.
Here at StyleNest we love a stylish yet functional buy, especially when it comes to buggies. Firm followers of iCandy for their sleek, chic and practical prams and pushchairs, we were intrigued to test out this newest number. A must if you’re always on the move, the Raspberry is lightweight, compact and simple to manoeuvre. Whether you travel by car, bus, train or plane, it fits the brief for city trips, holidays or even mooching around the shops. Suitable for kids weighing up to 25kg, we were eager for our little one to give it a go.
With a chassis in matte black or brushed aluminium, the hood comes in; Arctic Night, Atlantic, Lush, Beetle, Sunflower, Wisteria and Fuchsia. A big fan of the bold colours on offer, we chose the winning combo of a matte black chassis and red Lush hood. Very impressed by the fashionable finish of this stroller, it beats our previous pushchair hands down.
Cosying up in the comfy seat unit, our mini made the most of a little mid afternoon snooze in the 3-position reclining seat. The seat is padded with extra cushioning, so a comfortable journey is guaranteed. Our son is well past this point, but the seat can lie-flat should you wish to put a newborn in it, as the stroller is suitable from birth. Breathable to boot, the water resistant fabric can be easily wiped which caters for careless spills, of which we know there can be many. A streamline urban stroller, it is easy to push, dart across roads and swivel through busy supermarkets. We can also verify it works if you have older children and need to use one hand to push and one hand to guide said sibling.
Complete with state-of-the-art wheel design, 4-wheel independent suspension tyres allow for a smooth ride in which your child can face you or the outside world. While taking our little one for a stroll, naturally we stopped at the shops and filled up the 5kg capacity shopping basket. From a practical point of view, this feature is also good for surplus baby bit and bobs. A quick fold stroller, it is freestanding once folded so squeezes into small-ish spaces when not in use. For even more compact storage, the seat unit can be removed, although it can fold with it in place. We loved the clam shell fold technique of the stroller, protecting the main seat from muddy wheels, and found it a nifty size to tuck into both our car boot and hallway.
All accompanying accessories, such as the seat liner, newborn pod and footmuff are available in the 7 shades within the Raspberry colour palette. The hood also provides a 50+ UPV rating, protecting from hot summer rays. This in mind, we’ll be taking our smart and versatile iCandy Raspberry on a family summer holiday very soon.
