New York based children’s company Hazel Village bring their quirky, adorable soft toys to the UK market, as they’re stocked at online British kid’s boutique, Milo et Mimi.
We love a quirky creature here at StyleNest, so when we stumbled across cute NYC children’s brand, Hazel Village we were over the moon. Specialising in handmade soft toys, the American brand creates characters from fantastic foxes to rocking raccoons, all dressed up in adorable dapper little outfits.
Little ones are sure to love these charismatic little creatures, as will grownups too. Each of the woodland friends has been hand stitched from organic cotton in an ethical and organic-certified factory in India. The toys’ journey actually started out in the States though, where brand founder Jane Van Cleef has been dreaming up the quirky characters and cute creatures from her Brooklyn studio since 2010.
Hazel Village recently caught the attention of another lovely children’s brand here in the UK – Milo et Mimi. Despite the French sounding brand, Milo et Mimi was actually founded by Chiswick mum, Lena Addis. Lena looks to bring beautiful children’s brands from clothing to cuddly toys from around the world to the UK market, all in one easy to access, pleasure to shop place.
The Hazel Village cuddlies fit in perfectly, making lifelong friends for you little one, or unique gift ideas for kid’s birthdays. Each of the characters are based on favourite woodland creatures, including Reginald Fox, Lucy Owl and Gwendolyn Raccoon.
Each of the creatures comes with their very own personality and stylish flare. Take Owen Fox, dapperly dressed in his olive green tailcoat this fantastic fox loves to go to his secret tree house and practice his dance moves – making him the perfect pressie for any little dancing queen.
Then there is Max the thrifty Raccoon who makes old bits of crockery into wind chimes and jars of pickles and jam for his friends. And pretty Juliette Rabbit, dressed in a pretty white sundress she loves to indulge in the arts by painting china.
