Anorak – the Magazine for Kids Happy Shop

Anorak Happy Shop PostWe have always been secret fans of the quirky Anorak children’s magazine here at StyleNest, and now that they have launched a happy shop to accompany their delightful magazine for kids, we couldn’t be happier.

Created by mum Cathy Olmedillas in 2006, kids all around the world are now able to enjoy and treasure these keepsake collectables five times a year. Aiming to encourage kids to have an open mind and tap into their vast imaginations, Anorak’s magazines are a wonderful way for little ones and pre-teens to immerse themselves into a world where anything is possible. A brilliant alternative to the traditional comic book, your kiddies can read all about the circus and sail with the vikings.

But if your little one can’t wait for the subscription then you can let them have a look around the one-stop happy shop online. Selling everything from notebooks to posters, there is something for everyone.  We particularly love the Woodlands Notebook. Kiddies from the age of 6 to 12 will be able to doodle and jot down their innermost thoughts and adventures in this adorable little book. Drawn by illustrator Marcus Oakley, lions, turtles, snails and owls live peacefully on the front cover. A good way to teach the young siblings that if these animals can share the same space together peacefully, so can they.

If you are planning on travelling soon keep the children occupied with Anorak’s Holiday Bundle. Not only will your little one experience all the joys of the holiday issue, they will also be able to indulge in the special Goober adventure activity book which comes with every Holiday Bundle purchase. That’s two issues in one, and 68 pages of colouring, drawing, and figuring out puzzles. With these books in their hands, you won’t hear a peep.

It comes to no shock that Shakespeare is as popular today as he was in the mid to late 16th century. Whilst much attention is given to his tragically moving plays and witty comedies, less is given to understanding the great playwright himself. Containing anecdotes of the popular playwright, and in turn providing young ones with the chance to understand the great man behind the plays, the Surprising Shakespeare book is the gift for budding playwrights. And there are plenty of things for the little ones too, like the adorable Little Tree Badges. The perfect delicate friend to any nipper, these handmade badges are the ideal snuggle buddies. Your little one need not part from their cuddly friend post bedtime, simply pin the badge on to any garment and their cosy toy can join in on all their little adventures.

From stationary ideas, to activity books and bright posters, there is plenty on offer at Anorak’s happy shop.
