StyleNest recently headed to Prezzo Newcastle, all set to sample their brand new spring menu.
Two little ones in tow, we were intrigued by the seasonal menu, launched on April 2nd in all Prezzo restaurants across the UK. From flatbread salads to gluten free options, it was a family outing with four mouths watering. Stepping into the newly opened restaurant, the fresh, clean décor immediately caught our eye. Floor to ceiling Prezzo detail, the restaurant is set across two stylishly finished floors.
Greeted by the lovely Desiderio who looked after us during our visit, the kids were given colouring packs and kept busy while we pondered all the delicious options on display. Ideal for a gluten free diner like myself, I was delighted to order their special gluten free pizza. I started with the Prosciutto and Buffalo Mozzarella Salad, tastily adorned with peas, asparagus and rocket. My husband went for the Crab Cakes and our little ones both happily tucked into Mini Garlic Bread with Mozzarella.
The main course arrived next, continuing the impeccable service and food accompanying our starters. My gluten free Prosciutto E Funghi comprised Prosciutto ham, mushrooms, olives, rosemary, mozzarella and tomato. A feast of deliciousness, you couldn’t even tell the flour was different. Calzone was the mister’s choice, Carne Piccante to be precise. A folded pizza of seasoned chicken, meatballs, mushrooms and crushed chillies with Bolognese sauce and a blend of cheese made for one happy husband. The kids tucked into a cheese and tomato Children’s Pizza, although you can also choose additional toppings of pepperoni, mushroom or pineapple.
Pudding to finish, we plumped for Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake and Sticky Toffee Pudding as the minis devoured their ice cream. The cheesecake boasted hazelnut ganache whilst the sticky toffee pud was finished with seriously scrum gooey butterscotch sauce.
Complete family friendly foodie heaven, we would thoroughly recommend a visit to Prezzo Newcastle this spring summer.
