Flesh & Buns Hirata BunThe long anticipated Flesh and Buns, sequel to legendary Bone Daddies has officially launched.

Having only been open a week, Flesh and Buns is taking Londoners by storm and has left eager diners fervent for a reservation.

Located in London’s animated Seven Dials in Covent Garden, the Japanese Izakaya restaurant offers a menu which will leave your mouth watering, without burning a hole in your wallet.

The perfect place for a catch up with friends without having to queue round the block, Flesh and Buns accepts reservations, meaning no racing to leave work early and disappointing lines.

The menu is divided into four sections including; raw, small plates, flesh and buns and desserts for a journey of Japanese flavours that will rocket your taste buds into space.

The specialty is the hirata buns, a DIY filled steamed bun with a range of fleshy fillings including slow roasted shoulder of lamb with Korean flavours, whole baby chicken with yuzu koshy and robata grilled seabass with coriander miso.

Raw dishes include sashimi and oysters as well as maki rolls and Japanese bar snacks including prawn tempura with lemon ponzu and chicken yakitori.

And just when you thought things couldn’t get any better, the dessert menu arrives offering make your own s’mores with matcha biscuits, chococlate and of course marshmallows. A mini campfire is presented for you to make your own molten marshmallows for the ultimate indulgent sweet treat.

Informal and relaxed, the social eating and drinking house offers an underground dining experience with exposed brickwork and recycled furniture. The interactive dining experience allows guests to share long tables as well as intimate booths for the perfect location for every occasion.

The second opening from chef proprietor Ross Shonhan, Flesh and Buns follows through his passion for Japanese cuisine. After earning experience at Zuma as head chef, Ross knows a thing or two about Japanese cuisine.
