Avenue Restaurant

Avenue

D&Ds Avenue restaurant relaunches with a striking new aesthetic and exciting new menu to match.

Located on St James’ Street, Avenue’s new menu is inspired by New American cuisine and has been developed by head chef Michael Blizzard, formerly at Bar Boulud.

The airy interiors offer a Manhattan inspired look whilst the menu delivers American dishes such as corn crab (fried soft shell crab with avocado, arugula and chipotle mayo), clam chowder served in sour dough, lobster mac and a selection of jaw-dropping burgers for a truly authentic Stateside experience.

And it doesn’t stop there, for dessert you can sink your teeth into donut holes with cinnamon sugar as well as Hershey melt and bourbon custard as well as key lime sundae and classic New York cheesecake with a Brit twist with rhubarb and ginger.

Capturing the essence of the New York dining scene, Avenue is decked with plush banquette seating. Designed by Russel Sage, the 112 cover restaurant offers a Manhattan inspired loft feel whilst a sparkling chandelier and sculptural art installations make up the decadent accents.

Sommelier Andres Ituarte presents a selection of French and American wines from a list of over 200 wines. Wine is a focal point and key the experience at Avenue, the list of over 200 wines includes Sine Qua Non, a quirky Californian vineyard that never produces the same wine twice and cult Washington State Syrah, Cayuse Bionic Frog.

The new Avenue offers authentic American food in a stylish and sophisticated setting – Manhattan in the heart of Mayfair. Perfect for lunch meetings, dinner dates or weekend drinks at the bar, Avenue offers a barrel of sophistication to London’s home of heritage and style.
