Sausage Rolls

Sausage RollsThe classic British snack – simple sausage rolls with a twist. 

The perfect party food for your Jubilee and Olympic celebrations. Serve with sides of baked beans, corn on the cob or a mixed salad and your favourite relish or chutney.

Serves 8

Cooking Time 15 mins

What You’ll Need: 

  • Pork chipolata sausages
  • Packet puff pastry
  • Tomato ketchup OR Mustard OR Yeast extract
  • Egg
  • Milk

What To Do: 

  1. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 7, 220C, 425F.
  2. Roll out 500g packet puff pastry on a floured surface (or use ready rolled). Cut into 2.5 cm (1”) strips and dot with tomato ketchup, mustard or yeast extract.
  3. Take each strip of pastry; place a Pork chipolata sausage on each strip and wind-up. (Sufficient pastry to make about 24 ‘twist’ rolls)
  4. Brush with egg and milk beaten together and place on a baking sheet and cook in a preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes until gold
