Warm up your family for the Autumn season with these Leapin’ Lemurs baked apple treats. 

Serves: 4 servings

What You’ll Need:

• 4x apples
• 1 cup (250 mL) EnviroKidz Leapin’ Lemurs
• 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped walnuts
• 1/4 cup (60 mL) honey
• 1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground nutmeg

What To Do:

• Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Using melon baller, scoop out apple cores to create 1-inch (2.5 cm) wide cavity in center of each apple.
• Place apples on parchment paper–lined baking sheet.
• Combine Leapin’ Lemurs, walnuts, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg; fill apples with mixture.
• Cover loosely with foil; bake for 15 minutes.
• Remove foil and continue baking for 10 minutes or until apples are tender and cereal mixture is golden brown.
