Serves: 1-2 as lunch/ 4 as a snack
What You’ll Need:
- 8 Jacob’s Cream Crackers
- 200g good quality sliced ham
Welsh Rarebit Topping
- 150g mature Cheddar, grated
- 1 medium free range egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tbsp. beer (preferably stout) or milk
- 1 tbsp. plain flour
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp English mustard (or wholegrain)
What To Do:
- Preheat the grill to a med setting
- Place the Jacob’s crackers on a lined baking tray
- Divide the sliced ham between the Crackers
- Mix the rarebit ingredients in a bowl and spoon on top of the ham
- Place the tray under the grill for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is slighted golden and melted
- Stand for 1 minute before serving
