SHOE ADDICTS! WE’VE GOT YOUR FIX!

post-the-rupert-sanderson-champagne-slipper-for-34-mayfair-high-res-hero-shot-3-copyRupert Sanderson and 34 Mayfair come together to create the 34 Mayfair Champagne Slipper with Perrier-Jouët

Following on from the success of last year’s Kate Moss 34 Mayfair coupe – modelled on her left breast a la Marie Antoinette (legend has it that the first champagne coupe was modelled on Marie Antoinette’s left breast back in the 18th century, so rock and roll!) 34 Mayfair have now partnered with British shoe designer Rupert Sanderson to create The Champagne Slipper.

Drawing on the Art Deco contours of the restaurant and inspired by the terraced crown of Van Alen’s Art Deco Chrysler Building in Midtown Manhattan, Rupert has crafted the ultimate in Champagne glassware design. He has ingeniously turned the actual Champagne flute into the heel of the intricately detailed, silver-plated brass and crystal glass shoe stand; when filled with Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé, the glass will glow a dusky pink colour, while the bubbles create movement in the heel. The heel cleverly detaches from its statuesque stand for drinking.

Having designed shoes for actresses including Kate Winslet, Alicia Vikander and Gwyneth Paltrow, the Rupert Sanderson name has become synonymous with glamour and style so alongside this stunning Champagne glass, Rupert has also created a beautiful, satin ‘wearable’ Champagne slipper for this perfect collaboration, available for all shoe-a-holics to purchase in store! It’s all very chic and very indulgent……Marie Antoinette would be green with envy!

From Wednesday, 9 November, diners who order a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé at 34 Mayfair will be served their Champagne in The Rupert Sanderson Champagne Slipper for 34 Mayfair, each one will come complete with 6 Champagne flutes and a bottle Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé, at a cost of £5000.
