The Salt Yard Group Launches Ember Yard

Ember Yard Smoked basque beef burgerThe Salt Yard group launches fourth London opening, Ember Yard.

With a string of much loved London venues under their belt such as Salt Yard, Dehesa and the Opera Tavern, there’s no stopping the Salt Yard Group. Their latest launch Ember Yard follows its sister sites with a charcuterie and tapas style which takes inspiration from Spanish and Italian methods of cooking over charcoal.

Opening in the heart of Soho in Berwick street, Ember Yard will sit closely to Salt Yard, located in the heart of Fitzrovia and Dehesa located on Ganton street, moments from London’s Carnaby street. Not so further afield, Opera Tavern sits a stone’s throw from The Strand and the commotion of Covent Garden.

Although  each is different in style, atmosphere and menu, the Salt Yard Group offers a consistent standard of Italian and Spanish charcuterie, cheese and tapas dishes that will keep you ordering dish after dish.

The fourth addition to the group confirms co-founder Simon Mullins and Chef Director Ben Tish position as successful restaurateurs.

“We had the idea for this restaurant several years ago and are thrilled to see it finally come to fruition. There’s something primal about the method and flavours of cooking over charcoal and Ember Yard will be a unique and exciting take on this back to basics approach.” Simon Mullins.

The menu will feature dishes cooked on a custom build charcoal fired grill that will serve as a feature centrepiece to the open plan kitchen. Highlights from the menu will include: smoked bream carpaccio with blood orange and bottarga; Hot smoked old spot pork belly with Basque cider glaze and Hot chocolate ganache with salted caramel ice cream.

Whether you are enjoying an after work cocktail or dinner with friends, Ember Yard promises to offer exciting cuisine in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
