Michelin starred meals on wheels brings gourmet grub to busy Londoners

SupperIt’s 2015 and Londoners have more ways than ever of getting what they want as quickly as possible.

We have on demand taxi apps that eliminate the need to ever again stand in the rain on a Saturday night trying to hail a cab, I can arrange and manage my dry cleaning on my smart phone, and app based courier services can now deliver to you within the hour any essentials you might need from shoe polish to macaroons. The one thing that until now has perhaps been lagging behind is gourmet food delivery. Getting a pizza or some Chinese delivered is no problem, but higher end restaurants have been pretty dubious about trusting magic men on bikes to deliver their quality dishes, for fear that they will turn up to diners cold, soggy, and spoilt.

Cue SUPPER to the rescue. This September a food delivery service will launch that has already signed up two Michelin starred restaurants – Benares, and Tamarind – amongst many other high end establishments such as Japanese joints Matsuri and Tsunami, Ed Baines’ seafood institution Randall & Aubin, Mayfair’s favourite pizzeria Bocconcino, the city based steak house M Restaurants, and the exceptionally well-reviewed Chinese restaurants Barshu, Bashan, and Baiwai, that have taken the Chinese dining scene by storm.

The level of innovation that SUPPER brings to the table is what has persuaded this calibre of restaurants to offer their carefully prepared dishes to go. State of the art bikes from Japan will weave their way through rush hour traffic making deliveries much faster, and the high tech boxes on the back of them are temperature controlled, maintaining just the right level of hot or cold for the dish they are carrying.

The fun doesn’t end there though, SUPPER will also offer an in-house sommelier service, that’ll bring affordable wine, prosecco, and champagne pairings for each of the dishes available.

Hardly any need for us to leave the StyleNest offices ever again!

SUPPER is set to launch on the 7th September 2015, open from 11am-11pm. You can find out more at www.supper.london or tweet them at @SupperLondon
